About HackIIITD

HackIIITD is a flagship event of IIIT-Delhi's techfest Esya. It will be a 24hr overnight software hackathon, fuelled by grit, passion and coffee.

Shoutout to all computer nerds and gizmo geeks. For our 7th Edition of TechFest Esya‘s event HackIIITD, Byld, the software Development Society of IIIT-Delhi, asks you to Commit To Your Code. HackIIITD is a chance for all developers, hobbyists, students, or anyone else to build an innovative application revolving around the theme Digital India in a single night fueled by creativity, passion and grit. What the application does is only limited by your creativity !

For those students who wish to build there Apps on a cloud platform, we have our Partners IBM who are offering free-access to the IBM Cloud platform, Bluemix, to each individual student of the contestant team.

Eligibility

The hackathon is open to all college students and high school students as well.

Team Size

Any team will have a maximum team size of 4 members

Free Swag for all participants apart from prizes for the winners

Rules

  •   Team Size
         At max 4 members in a team. Lone wolves are welcome too, we might team you up during the hackathon.

  •   Originality of Code
         Everyone starts coding at the same time and no one should come in and build on top of their existing projects.
         Due attribution should be given to any kind of boilerplate code used.

  •   Final Decision
         The ultimate decision regarding awards and prizes lies within the hands of jury.
        The decision of organisers will be final and binding.

  •   Equipment
        Participants have to bring their own laptops. Extension cords and Lan Cables for internet access will be provided.

FAQ's

  • What does it cost ?
    This hackathon is FREE. All you need is enthusiasm. The costs are borne by our genorous sponsors.

  • What will I eat ?
    Food and coffee are on us !

  • Where will I sleep ?
    Some mattresses may be available for sleep/resting purpose.

  • What should I carry ?
    Bring your own laptops and Gizmos that you might need for hacking along with items for personal care and grooming.
